Middle School Teen

MST_EW.jpg

Our mission is to provide recreational and educational programs for middle school youth in 6th through 8th grade.

We provide youth with a wide-range of recreational, social, leadership and volunteer opportunities that will ultimately prevent at-risk behavior as youth transition from childhood to young adulthood.

Our goal is to provide the challenges, experiences and support that help teens develop to their fullest potential and, to promote positive, healthy, development.

Curriculum

Our curriculum is based upon 4 key areas of service that provide a healthy, stimulating, and positive environment for youth:

  • Sports, Fitness, and Health
  • Life Skills, Citizenship, and Leadership
  • Leisure and Recreation
  • Mentoring and Support Services

We offer these service areas by providing different types of clubs, social events, and by partnering with 4-H of America, Boys & Girls Club of America, and championing Character Counts values in all youth.

To provide many opportunities for growth and learning, we offer an array of activities based and their interests.

  • Smart Moves Clubs(Life-Skills & Informed Decision-making)
  • Outdoor activities
  • Image Makers (Photography)
  • Nutrition Club
  • Performing Arts Club
  • Creative Arts Program
  • Fishing Club
  • Archery "Target on Life" Club
  • Science Club
  • Homework Lab
  • Keystone & Torch Clubs (Leadership Skills and Community Service)
Parent Advisory Council

Our Parent Advisory Council works cooperatively with Child Youth Services personnel and management to ensure quality care and services for children while fostering parent participation in special events, field trips and other activities.  We encourage board members to make suggestions to our Management Team on issues regarding administrative policies and programs. Our meetings provide a forum for parent education, information sharing, and healthy positive discussion of issues relative to child and youth care. We also use our meetings as a venue for parent education trainings, educational events, and parental workshops.
